Stability Assessment and Slope Remediation Design
This project involved the geotechnical assessment of an existing slope adjacent to a transportation corridor that exhibited signs of instability. The scope included detailed geological mapping, subsurface exploration using boreholes and inclinometers, and laboratory testing of soil samples to determine shear strength parameters. Limit equilibrium and finite element analyses were performed to evaluate slope stability under static and seismic loading. Based on the findings, remedial measures such as soil nails, geogrid reinforcement, and improved drainage were designed to enhance long-term stability. The project ensured safety, minimized future maintenance costs, and supported sustainable infrastructure performance.
