Deep Foundation Design & Subsurface Characterization for High-Load Structure
This project entailed a comprehensive geotechnical investigation tailored for a planned high-rise or heavy-load structure. Fieldwork included deep foundation drilling using rotary rigs to develop boreholes, retrieve disturbed and undisturbed soil and rock samples, and perform in-situ testing. Laboratory evaluations provided crucial parameters such as bearing capacity, consolidation, and shear strength. Groundwater levels and stratigraphy were determined to guide foundation depth and bearing strategies—whether pile or caisson systems. Final deliverables included a detailed subsurface profile and geotechnical recommendations to support safe, efficient, and reliable structural foundation design.
